The September festival celebrated Texas chefs, local farms, and the people behind Houston's food scene.

Houston's culinary community gathered at Autry Park on September 26–27, 2026, for the Chefs For Farmers Food + Wine Festival, and Hill Country Dairies was proud to support the celebration as an event sponsor. The two-day festival brought together Texas chefs, local farmers, and food enthusiasts for a weekend highlighting regional ingredients and culinary collaboration.

Chefs For Farmers puts the relationship between chefs and farmers at the center of the experience. Participating restaurants are paired with local farms and receive ingredient stipends to source directly from those partners. The resulting dishes give guests a taste of Texas while supporting the producers whose work makes those meals possible.

The Houston edition featured a lineup of more than 50 restaurants, chefs, caterers, bakeries, and other food destinations. Among those listed were Hugo's, Blood Bros BBQ, Musaafer, Common Bond, Original Ninfa's, and JŪN, reflecting the range of flavors and talent across the city. Food tastings, wines, craft cocktails, and live entertainment rounded out the weekend.

For Hill Country Dairies, supporting the festival was an opportunity to celebrate the people who bring Texas food to the table. From farmers and ingredient suppliers to chefs and restaurant teams, that shared effort is central to the culinary community HCD serves.

HCD representatives Kevin Schoener, Kim Scott, Mark Gomez, and Brandon Brower attended alongside Casie Wiginton of Antonelli's Cheese. Throughout the weekend, the team connected with participating chefs, visited restaurant booths, and joined in celebrating Houston's culinary talent.

The celebration also supported a broader community purpose. Chefs For Farmers partnered with the Houston Food Bank, while Empty Bowls Houston offered handmade bowls for purchase, with proceeds supporting the food bank's work addressing food insecurity throughout Greater Houston and its surrounding service area.

That combination of culinary celebration, local partnerships, and community giving made the weekend a meaningful event for Hill Country Dairies to support.

HCD thanks the organizers, participating chefs, farmers, volunteers, and fellow sponsors who made the Houston festival possible. Following a memorable weekend at Autry Park, the team looks forward to joining the Dallas celebration this November, with Main Event tastings taking place November 7–8 at Old City Park.
